Abstract:

Contains Alison Owings' files related to to her book, "Indian Voices: Listening to Native Americans," which is a compilation of oral histories surveying a wide variety of Native people about aspects of contemporary life. Materials include audio copies of 39 interviews (compact discs), transcripts, related files and correspondence, general files on Native American-related events and topics, newspaper clippings, and photographs. Also includes several posters with Native American themes, and three original block prints by Henry Edward Frank, a Yurok Indian artist in San Quentin Prison, titled, "Grass Roots" (2008), "Pops" (2008), and "Mother" (2009).
